Why it matters
Down lowers arousal. For bouncy doodles, getting elbows on the ground often changes the whole nervous system.
Training steps
1
Start from a sit on a rug or mat.

Put a treat at the nose and lower it between the paws.
3
Slide the treat forward slowly until elbows drop.
4
Mark the moment elbows touch.
5
Add the word down after the motion is predictable.
